Shallotte man charged in home invasion


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Shallotte man is in jail charged in an early morning home invasion.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office says it happened early this morning at a home in the 1400 block of Morgan Road in Supply.

According to arrest warrants, Khandon Onsha Frink, 33, went into a home between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. Two people were inside.  Warrants state Frink assaulted one person with a wooden stick and gun and then choked the other person hard enough to leave bruises around their throat.

Frink is charged with first degree burglary, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, assault by strangulation, robbery with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within an enclosure to incite fear, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Frink was convicted in 2011 for selling cocaine.

One the victims was taken to a local medical facility.

Frink was arrested later this morning, he is in the Brunswick County Detention Facility where he remains under a $350,000 bond.
