Sheriff: Major announcement expected Friday missing Marine case
JACKSONVILLE (AP) — The sheriff investigating the disappearance of a 20-year-old pregnant Marine expects to make a “major announcement” once detectives interview the woman’s
roommate.
Marine Sgt. Daniel Durham isn’t a suspect in the case. But authorities have said Durham is believed to be the last person to speak with the missing woman, who is due to give birth in
mid-February. They said he may have been monitoring the case while on a training mission in California.
Onslow County Sheriff Ed Brown wouldn’t say if he believed the case would be resolved Friday. But he added that he’s leaning toward a positive resolution.
