Sheriff’s office auctioning thousands of designer gowns, shoes

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — More than 3,000 designer gowns, shoes and accessories will be up for grabs at the end of this month.

The New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is holding an auction to satisfy a judgement against a local company. The Sheriff’s Office seized formal dresses, pageant dresses, bridal gown, shoes, jewelry and other various accessories.

Some of the gowns are worth as much as $4,000.

The featured brands include Jovani, Mac Duggal, Tony Bowls, Terani, Sherri Hill and more.

The auction will be held April 22 at Independence Mall. You may view the items from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The auction will start at 11:00 a.m.
