Sheriff’s Office investigating Castle Hayne shooting

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one man in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to Lt. Jerry Brewer with the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting took place around 6 p.m. this evening. The shooting occurred at Carrol C. Mobile Home Park off Castle Hayne Road.

Brewer says there is no threat to the public and they have a person of interest.
