Police: Woman dies after self-inflicted gunshot at Wilmington gun range

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say a 25-year-old woman has died after what they describe as a self-inflicted gunshot at a gun range.

The shooting was reported at BullZeye Shooting Sports Centerat 5942 Market Street around 3 p.m. Friday.

A WPD spokeswoman says the gunshot appears to be self-inflicted, and investigators consider it non-criminal.

Earlier reports from police described the shooting as “accidental.”

No further information has been released.
