Shops, restaurant plans underway for Brunswick Riverwalk
BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The makeover continues for the Brunswick Riverwalk as the town heads into the commercial phase of the project.
Real estate firm Maus, Warick, Matthews & Co. has been hired to find a developer for businesses along the waterfront. Project manager and Belville commissioner Joe Breault said to expect an announcement of business in about 6 months.
He added that they’re looking to bring family-oriented businesses and a restaurant that reflect the nature of the park.
“They’ll be things that compliment what we’re trying to do in our vision for the park,” Breault said. “We’re talking about shops such as an ice cream shop, coffee shop, bait & tackle and canoe rental shop, kayak rental shop.”
Breault said the town will waive property fees for the first year to attract developers.
