The shops at The Forum see folks shopping early

There was good news for local business owners and their cash registers. The shops at The Forum across from Mayfaire were busy and bustling this weekend.

Business owners said part of it has to do with the advertising of their pre-holiday sales. But also, it is a sign of folks starting their shopping early, to give themselves time to shop around, and make smart and affordable purchases.

Blue Hand Home owner Arni Cullipher said, “The foot traffic has been really good, and strong. I’m very optimistic about it. We were here yesterday, on Sunday, and we probably had 40 or 50 in and out of here in a short amount of time.”

Cullipher said The Forum has inadvertently been grouped together with Mayfaire. And usually shoppers who head over to the big box stores at Mayfaire, will cross the street and shop locally at The Forum.
