Shots fired at car in Columbus County

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after someone fired several shots at a couple in their vehicle.

It happened Monday just after 5:00 a.m. in Tabor City.

Investigators say a couple saw a man standing on Peacock Road, in the area of Clyde Norris Road.

After they drove past the man, they heard gunshots hitting their vehicle.

The sheriff’s office says no one got hurt … but the vehicle was struck multiple times.
