Shots fired at home and car in Whiteville
COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting at a home in Whiteville.
According to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office, it happened just after 6:30 p.m. Sunday evening in the 1900 block of Mill Pond Road. A home and a vehicle were damaged after someone fired multiple shots.
The sheriff’s office says five people were inside the home at the time, including a 3-year-old boy. Not everyone inside the home at the time of the shooting lives there.
Witnesses told deputies there were several men inside the suspect’s car. According to the incident report, three shell casings were found at the scene. Rounds and partial rounds were recovered from inside the home and pulled from the interior of the home.
The sheriff’s office says no injuries were reported.
