ShotSpotter picks up eight gun shot alerts
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Monday night was a busy night for ShotSpotter. There were eight reports of gun shots from midnight Sunday night until 7 P.M. Monday night.
The last shooting happened in the 1200 Block of Chestnut Street around 7 P.M.
Wilmington Police responded to a call and found a red sedan with its back windshield and back door driver’s side window shot out.
The owner of the car was inside his home asleep when he heard multiple gunshots.
No one was hurt. Wilmington Police are still investigating and there is no word on the other ShotSpotter reports.
