Shred it and Forget It

NEW HANOVER COUNTY–Attorney General Roy Cooper sponsored a Shred-A-Thon near Mayfaire shopping center, off Military Cutoff Road. The Idea was to show people how to protect themselves from identity theft. People could stop by and shred old bills, pre-approved credit card offers and old account statements. Experts suggest that you should always shed important documents. The event was free and open for one day.
