Single-engine plane crashes in Fayetteville, two injured
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Two people were injured when a small
airplane flipped multiple times at Fayetteville Regional Airport.
Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Holly Baker said the
incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. Friday. She said the
single-engine Mooney 20 landed at the airport and flipped several
times, ending up in the grass. Baker said the plane was destroyed.
Local authorities said the two passengers were taken to an area
hospital, but their conditions weren’t immediately known.
Baker said the FAA would be investigating the crash.
