Six months of bridge work, closures start tonight at Wrightsville Beach
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The Wrightsville Beach drawbridge will limit traffic to and from the island for six months due to electrical and mechanical repairs.
The first of the four-lane shutdowns starts tonight. They will continue from time to time through March.
Only emergency vehicles will be allowed to cross between 11:30 p.m. and 5 a.m. when crews are working. During the day, two lanes will remain open. Those lanes will also be opened on nights when crews are not working.
