Six NC schools make Kiplinger’s list

Six North Carolina state schools have made the Kiplinger’s 100 as “best values” among the nation’s public colleges and universities. Our home town school is on the list.

UNC-Chapel Hill was number one for the seventh straight time.

NC State was 13. Appalachian State was 27. UNCW was 36. UNC Asheville is 40 and UNC Greensboro was number 68.

Kiplinger’s says its rankings are based on cost, and designed to combine value with a first-class education.
