Some not concerned about tropical system

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some areas may deal with flooding once the rain and wind picks up. Many areas are worried as to what can happen as many schools are even on a two hour delay. But some residents are just not worried at all for the tropical storm.

“I’m not really that worried. We get a lot of tropical storms and hurricanes through this area. They’re not even cancelling class tomorrow at UNCW, the college. I’m going into work bright and early, 7 o’clock in the morning so no worries there,” Aurora Silverwood said.

“It barely rained in my neighborhood and I was like ‘this is an overreaction, what’s the point and I’m just going to take it easy from the point on,” Alex Linares said.

This tropical system is nothing like Hurricane Matthew or Harvey. It is a typical system in this area.
