Some people stocking up on supplies in anticipation of snow
Sketchy weather is on the way and grocery stores are ready for people who may want to stock up.
The Harris Teeter in the Hanover Center on Oleander Drive was busy this afternoon.
The shelves were stocked with plenty of essentials like bread and milk. Most people said they were just on a regular grocery run and weren’t shopping for anything out of the ordinary in anticipation of snow, but there were some shoppers who weren’t taking any chances.
Brenda Rushing was stocking up on food and said, “We bought some bread and some ham and bananas and hot dogs and hamburger meat and baby food, so we’re hoping for a big snow tonight.”
Grocery stores aren’t the only ones making sure everyone’s prepared. Home Depot has snow shovels on display right next to the front door.
