Southeastern Mental Health Center looking for public input
Last week, New Hanover County Commissioners decided to return 2 million dollars to the Southeastern Center for Mental Health.
It was money that had originally been earmarked for building a new facility. That facility is on hold, and Southeastern Center wants your input on how to best utilize the funds instead.
The second of three public meetings takes place tonight. Administrators want the public’s thoughts on Southeastern’s gaps in service – what’s missing, and who needs help the most.
Tonight’s meeting starts at 6 at the Pender County Library in Burgaw. Another meeting will happen Wednesday at the Brunswick County Government Complex in Bolivia.
