Southeastern Mental Health needs more money

Southeastern Mental Health is having a hard time making ends meet again. The agency is out of money to pay it’s service providers.

Southeastern asked New Hanover County commissioners for two million dollars to get them through the fiscal year.

This money would come out of the five million that had been put aside for a new mental health facility.

The center’s director, Foster Norman, said getting a cash influx is the only way they can continue to operate.
