Last chance for non-conference action for ACC schools

RALEIGH (AP) — It’s the last night of non-conference action for the Atlantic Coast Conference tonight.

Top-ranked North Carolina goes for its 16th win to start the season in a home game against UNC-Asheville. The Tar Heels have won all 14 of their non-conference games to go with their ACC win over Clemson Sunday night. Coach Roy Williams has beaten the Bulldogs
five times, three of the m while he was at Kansas.

Ninth-ranked Duke is in Philadelphia to play Temple. The Blue Devils will be without Brian Zoubek, who broke his foot during practice, and Martynas Pocius underwent season-ending ankle surgery on Tuesday.

North Carolina State finishes its non-conference schedule with a its first-ever meeting against North Carolina Central. The Wolfpack is on a six-game winning streak.

Also tonight, Charlotte is at No. 18 Clemson and Georgia Tech plays at Georgia.
