Starting QB for Carolina undecided

Carolina coach John Fox is noncommittal as to who will be the starting quarterback for the Panthers’ next game.

The Panthers are off this weekend but take on Indianapolis a week from Sunday.

Fox says it’s an open competition between David Carr and Vinny Testaverde.

Carr was acquired in the off-season after five years as a starter in Houston. The 43-year-old Testaverde was signed last week and ended up leading the panthers to a 25 to 10 win over Arizona.

Carr was unable to play that game due to a bad back.
