State Division of Air Quality extends comment period for cement plant

You have more time to voice your thoughts on Titan America’s draft air permit for a cement plant in Castle Hayne.

The state Division of Air Quality is extending the comment period from October 30th to November 20th. The state issued a draft air permit for the project last month.

Two more public meetings are scheduled for October 20th. They are at the BB&T Auditorium at Cape Fear Community College’s North Campus.

The hearings are from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 9:00 p.m.
