State education officials release school report cards

RALEIGH (AP) — The state Department of Public Instruction is providing parents with a report card that grades schools and districts across the state.

The report cards provide information on test results, classroom sizes, the quality of teachers and school safety. Parents can compare the schools of their children with those around the state.

State education officials have been providing the reports since 2001.

Parents can search the reports at www.ncreportcards.org.
