Still no plans for Blue Eyed Muse building

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) —  Nine months after closing its doors because of structural issues, the Blue Eyed Muse remains condemned. And whether it will ever reopen is still unknown.

One of the largest music venues in Downtown Wilmington, it was shut down in September after being deemed unsafe.

New Hanover County spokeswoman Ruth Ravitz Smith says the county’s plan review chief spoke to an architect months ago about the building, but plans were never filed.

We reached out to the owner of the building, Joseph Hou, but have not heard back.

The venue was previously known as Throne theater and Ziggy’s by the Sea.
