STORMTRACK 3: Exessive heat helped to produce strong storms Wednesday
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Record temperatures over 100 degrees fueled big thunderstorms across the Carolinas Wednesday. A large barn was destroyed by lightning near Elizabethtown, and thousands of residents lost power.
An approaching cold front may spark a few additional storms Thursday. See the latest radar images at wwaytv3.com, and follow the latest watches/warnings with WWAY on Facebook and Twitter.
