STORMTRACK 3: Widespread reports of large hail in Carolinas, additional storms possible
A line of severe thunderstorms developed near a frontal zone along the North/South Carolina state line. These storms produced nickel to golf ball sized hail across parts of Robeson, Columbus, New Hanover and Brunswick counties. Softball-sized hail was reported in Horry county SC, along with a possible tornado near North Myrtle Beach during the late afternoon.
