Strickland pleads guilty in high-speed chase

One of the young men who has made news because of his ties to Sen. R.C. Soles was back in court today. 18-year-old Allen Strickland pleaded guilty to fleeing and evading arrest.

In August, Tabor City Police say Strickland led an officer on a high-speed chase after the officer spotted the unlicensed teen driving the Corvette Soles reportedly bought the boy. The officer said he saw Strickland run away from the car after crashing it near the South Carolina line. Strickland later reported the car missing.
