Strollathon to benefit Rett Syndrome Research Foundation
WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH — There’s an event coming up in October that we want you to know about. It’s a strollathon at Wrightsville Beach Park to raise money to find a cure for Rett syndrome.
This debilitating neurological disease strikes very young girls who physically digress as they grow. But research is making headway towards a cure.
RSRF strollathon Shelley Manfield
“The purpose of the strollathon is to raise money to fund that research. It will be the only one held in North Carolina. We have named it a Strollathon because our girls will have to be strolled rather than walked.”
