Student charged in alleged threats at Dixon High School

ONSLOW COUNTY, NC (WCTI) — The Onslow County Sheriff’s Office has taken one student into custody Monday after an alleged threat against Dixon High School that went viral.

The name of the student has not been released, but that person has been charged with communicating a threat, according to a news release from Onslow County Schools Monday morning.

“Appropriate disciplinary actions will be taken against the student,” the news release states.

Although officials have not said what the alleged threat actually was, it went viral on social media over the weekend, said Suzie Ulbrich, the public information officer with Onslow County Schools.
