Students facing disciplinary action after BB guns found in middle school locker

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Four students at Cedar Grove Middle School are facing disciplinary action after airsoft BB guns were found in a locker Wednesday, according to a spokeswoman.

Brunswick County Schools Spokeswoman Jessica Swencki said a tip from a student led a school resource officer to two BB guns.

Swencki said the principal and SRO took action, and the kids involved were immediately identified.

The students were all in the 7th grade, according to Swencki. She said they are all facing consequences according to the code of conduct, which ranges from short-term to possible long-term suspension.
