Students wrap up business camp by pitching ideas
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some young campers got first-hand experience in business and marketing this week. UNCW’s Youth Entreprenuer Program wrapped up today.
Campers presented their final projects: board games they had to design and market themselves. Awards were presented for the top projects. Campers say they enjoyed creating unique games with others.
“It was fun,” Cameron Howard said. “I got to meet new people and create a game with people I never worked with. It was a lot of fun. Our game was called In ‘n Out of School, and it’s based on school years. You start in Pre-K, and you answer a series of questions all the way up to high school to college.”
The campers will take part in fall and spring follow-up sessions. Some will return next summer as peer mentors.
