Sunset Beach sweepstakes parlor robbed; Reward offered for tips leading to arrest

SUNSET BEACH, NC (NEWS RELEASE) – Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are searching for two male subjects that were involved in an armed robbery in the Sunset Beach area yesterday morning.

At approximately 5:45 am on September 30th, two subjects entered Cyberlink Sweepstakes, located at 30A Shamrock Drive, concealing their identity through masks. The employees were forced to hand over an undetermined amount of US currency before fleeing the business.

Both suspects wore a camouflage safari hat and gloves. The first suspect was between 5’11” and 6’2” weighing approximately 180-190 lbs wearing a set of coveralls. The second suspect was between 5’4”-5’7” weighing approximately 175-185 lbs wearing a jacket and blue jeans with a pair of white tennis shoes.

The suspects fled from the business on foot and traveled towards Highway 17 in an unknown direction.
