Surf City has Groundbreaking ceremony for new municipal complex

SURF CITY (WWAY)– The Surf City Town Council had a Groundbreaking ceremony for the new municipal complex on highway 210, located directly beside the Publix Super Market at Arboretum.

A spokeswoman tells us, local property owner, Allan Sullivan donated 3 acres of the land.

All of town hall’s administration and the new police department will be in the building.

She tells us they’re hoping to start construction in a few weeks after bidding for a contractor.

She says the town hall would like to be in the building within a year and a half.
