Survey gives school board feedback in superintendent search

The Brunswick County School Board has a better idea what people want from their next superintendent. More than 600 people filled out an online survey to give feedback as the board searches for a new leader for the district.

In October the board decided not to renew Katie McGee’s contract. According to the survey, community members put a premium on providing a safe environment for kids.

At a meeting Tuesday, the board decided that on February 11 they will pick which applicants for superintendent they will interview. They hope to make a decision by April. McGee’s contract ends June 30.
