Suspect wanted for two Wilmington armed robberies

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are searching for a man accused of robbing two separate businesses in Wilmington.

Police say he’s wanted for the armed robbery of Smoke Rings on South Kerr Avenue on Sunday night and for the armed robbery of Tienda La Vaquita on Market Street Thursday night.

According to witnesses at both locations, the suspect was armed with a silver handgun and took cash from the register.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 5’8″-5′-10″, athletic build. He was wearing a grey “Ecko” hoodie tied around his face and jeans. He also has a mustache.
