Suspects wanted on hundreds of charges

WILMINGTON — Police in Wilmington and Leland need your help catching some suspects who they say broke into dozens of cars across two counties.

Cornelius Washington and Antonio and Joshua Auther are wanted on hundreds of charges.

Police say the suspects, ranging in age from 16 to 21, broke into unlocked cars in residential neighborhoods in Leland and Wilmington, including magnolia greens, and landfall.

The suspects were then caught on camera using credit cards stolen from the vehicles.
Police say the criminals made another mistake which also lead to their identification.

WPD Det. Andy Swenson said, “One of the funny things about this is when they used their stolen credits cards they used a [Harris Teeter] VIC card to save money on the stolen credit card.”

Michael Graham has already been arrested for some of the car break-ins.

If you know where the other suspects are you can call 911.

Police also advise car owners to lock their doors at all times to make sure they don’t become victims.
