Suspended teacher indicted for drug possession

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A New Hanover County teacher arrested earlier this year for drug possession has been indicted.

District Attorney Ben David confirms a grand jury indicted Catherine Entrocaso for possession of a schedule II drug.

An ALE officer arrested Entrocaso, a teacher at New Hanover High School, May 23 for having 13 Adderall pills in a non-prescription bottle without a label.

New Hanover County Schools suspended Entrocaso with pay May 28 pending the outcome of the investigation. A school district spokeswoman says Entrocaso remains suspended with pay.

Entrocaso did not immediately return a call for comment.
