Deputies investigate double homicide

OGDEN – New Hanover County deputies are investigating the murder of two people found dead in an Ogden home. The deaths of James Gallagher, 70, and Laura Gallagher, 58, are being called suspicious, meaning that they didn’t die of natural causes.

The house where they were found was on Westridge Court in Ogden. Investigators say a neighbor called the sheriff’s department asking an officer to come check on the people who lived in house number 424.

Deputies entered the house and found two people dead around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Since then, detectives have been on scene investigating. Their family, who lives in the New York area, has been has been notified of their deaths.
