Tabor City police looking for armed robbery suspect

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The search is underway for a man Tabor City police say robbed a convenience store on Saturday.

According to Capt. Scott Fowler with the department, a masked man with a gun walked into the Vasco #1 at 401 Fair Bluff Road around 9:45pm on July 27th.

The man forced the employee behind the counter, demanded money…and then left with an unspecified amount of cash.

The employee was not hurt.

It is unclear if the robber left on foot or in a vehicle.
