Tabor City Post Office robbed at gunpoint
TABOR CITY, NC (WWAY) – The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is searching for the man who robbed a post office in Tabor City.
It happened just before 11:30 a.m. yesterday.
Sheriff’s Office Spokeswoman Michele Tatum says a man walked into the post office located at 6337 Ten Mile Road and pointed a gun at the postal clerk.
Tatum says he demanded money and money orders. The clerk gave the suspect what he demanded. The suspect then demanded the money order machine. When the clerk showed the suspect where it was, he took it.
He then left in a gray colored car.
He’s described as 5’5″ tall, weighing 150 pounds. The suspect was wearing a ski mask to conceal his identity.
