Take the plunge in Kure Beach
KURE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The time has come again to claim your spot in the Polar Plunge, 5K and 1 Mile All Abilities Fun Walk in Kure Beach.
The event benefits local Special Olympics. The money helps Special Olympic athletes with sports training and competition opportunities.
This year the plunge is on Saturday, February 11 on the Kure Beach Boardwalk at 11 a.m.
Special Olympics Coordinator Tiffany Lesley joined us on Good Morning Carolina to talk about the event.
