Take a moment. Thank a veteran.

Sometimes I get a little wordy in my blogs. Not today. Today I just have one request. The title of this blog says it all: Take a moment. Thank a veteran. Sunday is Veterans Day, after all, though it shouldn't matter what day it is. But this their day, so do it.

Whether it means calling your grandfather, stopping by a coworker's desk or e-mailing a friend. Take just one moment to thank the men and women who have served this country so proudly. It doesn't matter where or when they served. And it certainly does not matter if you agree with the mission they were sent to do. The fact is they did it and/or do it.

And if you're one of those people that thinks things are bleak now and everything is messed up, especially with how our military is being used now, then you should take time to thank more than just one veteran. After all, without their service, you wouldn't even have the right to complain.

So thank you to all the veterans who may read this. I thank you for your service, your dedication and your sacrifice. Even if no one else takes the time to tell you, please know you are appreciated and valued.
