A Taste of Southport was a treat for the taste buds

Folks got quite a treat for their taste buds during A Taste of Southport Sunday. Five Southport restaurants each featured one dish, creating a five course meal for Southport locals.

A chef from each restaurant prepared the dish in front of the guests, teaching them how to make it at home. Attendees enjoyed wine tasting in between each course.

Southport resident, Chuck Pollock said, “Well this is a great event. It’s for a great cause to help the Southport merchants and the downtown association and we’re just glad to be here with all of our friends.”

All guests were given a copy of every recipe so they could make the dishes again. Proceeds from the ticket sales go toward the beautification of the city.
