Teacher of the Week: Angela Pollock

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Special needs students have a champion in Parsley Elementary’s Angela Pollock.

She believes that her kids are rock stars who work hard and have the ability to do anything they want to do.

“They have the capability,” she says, “they have awesome brains and it’s just a matter of being able to set them up for success.”

Her love of teaching began after an encounter with a special needs boy that she was instantly able to connect with.

That led to a career in teaching and a promise to her kids to provide every opportunity possible to them.

Ms. Pollock says she just wants to make sure that everyone gives her kids the chance to “show how smart they are.”
