Teacher of the Week: Bonnie Stanley-Verzella

BRUNSWICK COUNTY (WWAY) – The first day of school can be rough for both parents and students, but at Union Elementary School there is a very special kindergarten teacher who makes it easy and fun.

Bonnie Stanley-Verzella says kindergarten is when kids learn a lifelong love of school and she wants them to know that learning can be fun.

That’s why she is our Teacher of the Week

She uses everything she can to teach those kids their first lessons and promote good learning and behavior habits.

Mrs. Stanley-V, as her students call her, is also loved by parents.

In her nomination a parent said Mrs. Stanley-V has a face that lets both students and their parents relax and not be afraid of that first day of school.
