Teacher of the Week: Trina Osborne

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Trina Osborne has a very large fan club of students at Central Middle School in Whiteville.  Hundreds of them flooded the WWAY website with nominations for Teacher of the Week.

Learning of all her nominations made her feel “that I’m actually in the right profession I’m supposed to be in.”

She says that building relationships is the key to learning, but it’s also important to have fun.

When you look around her classroom you can see why it would be fun.  Every available surface is covered with projects from students past and present.

Her best advice to students is serious, however.  She says she wants them to practice “acceptance and tolerance of other people and treat someone the way you want to be treated.”
