Ted’s Excellent Adventure: Connecticut
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County man who jumped on a tall ship in Wilmington is now in Connecticut as his adventure continues.
Oak Island’s Ted Edwards boarded The Pinta, one of the two tall ships at port in Wilmington, back in May for a stint as a deckhand.
Edwards and Jill Mead were exploring The Nina and The Pinta while they were in town. Jill says that while they were touring the ships, Ted started chatting it up with the first mate about volunteering. Next thing you know, he’s submitting an application and is selected as a deckhand on The Pinta.
So far, he’s been at port in New Jersey, New York, and now in Hartford, Connecticut at Mortenson Riverfront Plaza.
