Teen accused of mailing drugs to Bladen County inmate
BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A teen is behind bars after deputies say she mailed drugs to a inmate in the Bladen County jail.
According to Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, the jail intercepted personal mail addressed to an inmate containing drugs Christmas Eve.
After a joint investigation by the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit, and the United States Postal Inspectors Office it was determined that 19-year-old Heather Brown, of Wilmington, mailed multiple Suboxone Sublingual Films to an inmate.
Brown was arrested Thursday.
She is charged with providing drugs to an inmate, possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver schedule III controlled substances, and manufacturing schedule III controlled substances. Brown is in jail under a $20,000 bond.
