Teen arrested for Brunswick Co. break-ins

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A day after asking for help finding a teen in connection with several break-ins, Brunswick County Sheriff’s deputies say the teen is in custody.

Investigators arrested Jacob Tyler Cortes, 17, this morning. He was wanted for two counts of felony breaking and entering motor vehicle, two counts misdemeanor larceny and one count felony breaking and entering. The charges stem from several break-ins and thefts in the Lakewood area of Shallotte off Green Heron Drive April 23.

Cortes is in jail under $50,500 secured bond.
