Teen arrested in Rocky Mount church shooting
ROCKY MOUNT, NC (AP) — Rocky Mount police have arrested a teen in the wounding of four people behind a church earlier this week.
Police said the teen was seen around 6 p.m. Monday near the Word Tabernacle Church basketball courts. Three teens and a 12-year-old were shot and wounded.
The 17-year-old is charged with four counts of attempted murder.
The teens who were wounded were treated and released from Nash General Hospital. Twelve-year-old Nyreek Horne is being treated at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Police have not released a motive in the shooting.
