Teen facing several child sex charges

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A 17-year-old is in jail under $500,000 bond for alleged sex crimes.

According to arrest records, Tyques Jay Ingram Smith was arrested today on charges including first degree force able sex offense against a child and assault on a child under 12.

Details surrounding what happened are not going to be released to protect the child victim.
